Ill maybe do a review but just wanted to mention what a memorable game it was, very memorable. The atmosphere of that game is second to none, just an awesome experience and one of the better rpgs youll play.
The only downfall the game had for me was some nitpicky technical stuff that i think was merely because its an older game, and a little too much fetching around for stuff, just a bit...alot of running around and backtracking...but its ok, it was enjoyable to do so.
I just started the 2nd game last night and dying to get further, what a great series!

I beat it a couple of weeks ago myself. Definitely a decent enough game. Combat felt pretty dated though. Voice acting pretty uhh ho-hum. But it had its charms. There was some choices that I actually had a tough time dedicing between. Also the fact a game that let's you sleep with women! I know if I was a badass and I saved that woman's life.. I'd want some repayment and not just a simple handshake either  The backtracking and fetching was a bit much especially since I wanted to complete every quest and sidequest. I'll get around to witcher 2 when I can find it for $30 =] |

I've been wondering whether or not I should play it, but that sounds like a pretty sizable chunk of time, I may have to get into it (I'm pretty selective about my RPGs).

The combat was dated i agree but it was pretty slick watching the witcher perform his moves, i did highly enjoy that!  What pulls me into a game is when youre traversing the game and it is just filled with atmospheric music and witcher nailed that, i simply loved the accoustic tracks when moving around fields or cities, loved it. MDS, i even skipped some stuff too in terms of side quests...i bet you can squeeze 100 hours out of it if you wanted...well worth it bro! |

I think what took me so long was that i had no pattern in how i did my quests so i really ended up running my ass off already the place just sort of prolonging my journey |
