With more planet traversing and ship combat type stuff, when i think of how much fun Mass Effect is it makes me simply want more in this genre. Space exploration with combat, ship combat etc...i absolutely love this style of game. We get some but in the sense of planet exploration, i just think we need a little more star wars/star trek type gaming these days...i need it, i wants it!  |

yeah, I agree. Thrown in how Bungie handled space battles in Hal Reach and ya got something there.

I actually have a plan for a scifi type game that i want to develop but could take me a few years since I'm still not in the industry, i haven't gone to school for it yet (2&1/2 - 4 years at most), and i want it to be big with lots of stuff in it if I'm going to be the one making it.
But overall agreed I've been interested in trying to get into a big scifi type game but haven't had the opportunity yet.

New xwing or tie fighter with high res graphics would be perfect. Also a redo on privateer would be cool.

A Star Trek game made Mass Effect Style would be so cool.
The new game looks more like a shoot em up, but could still be fun.

Man, I've been circling game stops like a hawk trying to convince myself that there may be another good sci-fi game just lingering about in there. So far the only game that I haven't tried yet is Mass Effect - which I ended up buying today and plan to play soon. I'm not sure whether to have high expectations.
I believe we need more alien shooters! The awesome aliens, not the made-to-scare-you monster aliens.

Rustic, be very patient with Mass Effect. There are some glitches and the slow elevators will bore you to tears some times, but it is such a great game.
...then comes ME2...and you will be very pleased.
