Yay or nay?

Going with yay.

It's honestly because I want them to take that original game, which had some promise in two areas (character advancement and combat system) and go farther with the world and story. For the first time in an FF game I felt like a lot was left on the table.

Probably a fools hope though.

If they can construct a world that is explorable and plays like older FFs, even FFX....im ok with such a dramatic battle system change. I didnt mind it so much in 13. But the way 13 started off was just pretty bad for me at least...it looked nice but it took too long to get off the rails, and i hope they correct that with 13-2.

I'm on the fence with this one. I found it very hard to get into FFXIII. In fact, the last Final Fantasy game that I really loved was IX. I think the open world concept plays a big role in how I view these games.

That middle picture reminds me of Anima from FFX. Creepy!

Serah's weapon seems to be a bow. Interesting. So looks like she'll be a ranged character similar to Sazh, maybe?

The linear nature of 13 was the major pitfall of the game. I guess they just didn't have the budget for it.

Like I said, here's hoping it's better than expected, and they open up the world.

Probably, although I think it will be hard to get anything special out of a "multi-shot" point of view. Sazh changed stances, it's difficult to that with a bow in comparison.

Also: I've never played X or X-2, does this make me a bad person?

Never played FFX? BLASPHEMY!

FFX is my favorite RPG of all time.

I'm not excited at all for FFXIII-2. I mean I'll end up playing it of course since I love high production value RPG games. The story and characters did nothing for me. The story was VERY forgettable.

Didn't care at all for FFXII either

15 bucks? I'll bite. Is X-2 worth it for 13 bucks?

I have high hopes for Versus and XIII-2. But like most of my hopes for sequels, they are squashed quite soon.

I'm surprised that it's even going for $15 after 10 years.

Not sure about X-2... it was alright because of the gameplay. Probably one of the best combat systems of all FFs. It's still very tacked on and not a great game but IMO it's worth $7 which I'm sure you can find =P

But I'd only get x-2 if i was a huge fan of ffx otherwise there are other games to play out there =]
