We're using this modeling software in college and so far I'm hating...just because there's a LOT of options to use and it's a bit overwhelming. Anyway, we've made a tank, a zelda level (not complete from the SNES days), lamps, ect. this is our current assignment is the human face.

Sweet. I went to college for about a year for programming and game development (at MSB) and I remember using 3ds and UDK. We never got into anything complex like adding skins or creating a human. Just basic inanimate objects. I wasn't that bad at the modeling or animation but man do I suck at programming.
