When the summer drought is over........

We're bang in the middle of the traditional summer drought right now but in a couple of months September will arrive and a whole host of games will be coming thick and fast.

What games are you most looking forward too this autumn/Xmas run in?

For me I'm pretty psyched about arkham city, AC revelations and to see the conclusion of the GOW trilogy. I think we're gonna be a bit spoilt this year but I'm sure I'm missing a few other good games too, so what's whetting your appetite?

Arkham City and Uncharted 3 for me.

I'm not sure if there's other stuff coming out that I want this Fall.

Red i dont think weve had a game drought much since like 1995! haha as for me off the top of my head Dungeon Siege 3 is a huge one for the summer. Batman AA is going to be one hell of a fall release, Uncharted 3, Skyrim...i mean this year is going to rock for games.

Battlefield 3, saints row 3 and F1 2011 are the games i cant wait for!

C'mon, the biggest game release times is sept to dec, then we get one or two biggish games in January, maybe a decent one about valentines then things pick up for Easter where we can expect about 4 good titles in April. Then May to sept we're lucky if we get two good top titles a month. Then October rolls around and it's 3-4 good titles a week again, the games rush, where some damn good games can fall victim to release schedules etc.

I must admit I never got a memo either, I only really began to notice this pattern cuz of Reading it and hearing it from reveiwers, publishers and other industry experts.......

So I shall stand by the statement that we're in the traditional games drought. Which is grand by me cuz I have a massive backlog which I need droughts and quiet periods to try to catch up.

Ok, I'll grant you that this summer the drought doesn't look as noticable but I shall credit that to the release of the 3DS for one thing......

The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time 3D (3DS)
The original Nintendo 64 version is still regarded as the best video game ever made, but will this portable remake deserve the same plaudits?

Child Of Eden (360)
The spiritual sequel to Rez is not just a dazzling sensory experience, it's also the first game to make Kinect seem like a good idea.

Alice: Madness Returns (360/PS3/PC)
A long-delayed, and largely unasked for, sequel to 2000's American McGee's Alice, complete with 18-rating and a teapot cannon.

Dungeon Siege III (360/PS3/PC)
This seems to be the week for unanticipated sequels, as Fallout: New Vegas makers Obsidian reboot the old dungeon crawling role-player series.

Naruto Shippuden 3D: The New Era (3DS)
The anime favourite gets its first outing on the 3DS, but it's still just a 2D beat 'em-up.

Max And The Magic Marker (Wii/PC/DS)
The old WiiWare platformer gets a strangely belated retail release.

haha yea, it gets a bit mad then doesn't it. There's still loads more games that are just down as released in autumn etc with no definitive dates so that list is gonna expand and grow. It's mad really so many games slip under the radar because there's just tooany coming out. Some of them would probably do well to either bring it forward to July/aug or push back to jan/feb time IMO

Arcana Heart 3 ?! Maybe i dunno, thats probably all i get. All the other games sadly, im not interested in until at least i beat that.
