So I finished L.A. Noire last night. Overall, I'm happy I played it. That being said, it was probably my least favorite Rockstar game to date. I'll do a quick Pros/Cons.
Pros:
Motion Scan is amazing.
It's a Mature rated game that doesn't try to hide that fact.
Story is interesting.
Everything has a really authentic 1940s feel to it. Love the dialect
Cons:
The side missions were boring and generic.
A lot of the story sequences seemed like you didn't have to do anything right in order to advance.
The story took a long time to develop.
I hate changing discs.

Do you feel its worth a purchase at full price Bing? I want to buy the game but with a few of the games on my plate right now I got a feeling LA Noire is going to be something i snag around 30 bucks.
But if its a must play right now i may think about snatching it and getting too it.

In my opinion, it is not a must play right now. This is a game that you will be able to enjoy six months from now when it's $30. The only thing about it that I found revolutionary was the Motion Scan. It really is that good. Makes the characters feel alive. But by the end of the game I found myself feeling ready for it to be over.

It is funny because I do agree with you about a lot of the cons. The side missions were generic but I didn't really find them to be boring. They were more a short interruption of the story. The story did take a while to unfold and truth be told I didn't really dig the ending or how some of the things unfolded during the end of the Vice cases and beginning of the Arson cases. Also there were times that it didn't seem like you really had anything to do with advancing the case.
That being said I still loved this game. I can't wait for the next set of dlc to come out and I agree totally in the motion scanning being just amazing. I found myself addicted to the game and although some may of found the case work to be repetetive or boring I loved it. In fact the last two Rockstar games are some of my favorite this gen and this game and Red Dead Redemption are the only 2 Rockstar games I wanted to and did 100% complete.

Thanks for the quick review. I will pass on this game all together but I am interested in how the motion scan develops not only with R* but with other companies in the future. It really is an amazing leap to make the characters on screen seem real.
Are other developers aloud to use the technology or is R* keeping it to themselves?
