I would be if I had Risen, the demo was pretty good. Definitely felt like a spiritual successor to the Gothic series.

Ed i tell ya what man, if you can find Risen for a good price or even if its around 20-25..im not sure what the price is tbh, its just a badass game. The game is solid through and through from the voice acting, the music, the questing, the challenge will rape you at times, its ashame games like Risen just dont get the nod they deserve when they are very good and complete games.
Try to pick it up sometime if you can, im loving the hell out of it!

Its been $29.99 on Steam for a while now, it's gotta go on sale one of these days! I'm praying for it when the summer sale starts. Wow that is definitly holding the fort on that price considering how long its been out hah...yea i think 19.99 is the perfect price for it right about now. |

PiT have you tried your copy of Risen yet?
I am thinking im going to wait a bit before delving deep into Witcher 2 since i put in a massive couple days to finish the first, im going to work on finishing Risen.
But the thing i love about these games are the settling scenary, just traversing camps, lush forets and hills, all of it...simply awesome.
I think Risen 2 with pirates is going to kick some serious ass!

It is ashame Risen hasnt hit a pricepoint to give it more exposure, I think if they dropped it to 19.99 people would really jump for it and see what an awesome game it is.

As you're all probably aware by now, I'm a cheap gamer heh. I looked up some information on it, and with the combination of Risen 2, I'd definitely pick it up at 20 bucks. I'd seriously think about buying Risen 2 straight out of the gate if they pulled a White Knight Chronicles and offered a fully updated 1 with two. |

Keep in mind if you guys do get Risen, this game will bitchslap you into next week if you let it  its hard, like enemies dont mess around! But its rewarding when you make a kill in this game, thats what im loving. I try to be a cheap gamer Dunker, but my urges to buy overtake me sometimes so greatly lol. The game needs to be 20 bucks though, hands down. No reason it should be 30 still. |

I'm in. Open World, Pirates, and Piranha Byte developed. I just hope the game come to the PS3 this time around, if not I'll buy for the PC.

I was the biggest supporter of this on the IGN Board. I think my posts probably got about half of you to buy it.
Risen was awesome. Yes, I am in for the sequel.

I just picked up a pre-owned copy of Risen for Xbox 360 for $12.99 from GameStop. I've been playing it for a few days now, and really enjoying it. The story, character interaction and missions have been great. It's an old school RPG that doesn't hold your hand, and allows you somewhat shape how the game progresses based on your decisions. It's a little rough around the edges, but still a lot of fun. I definitely can't wait to get Risen 2: Dark Waters now.
