EA has me pissed with NHL 11...

12 will be out eventually so thats good but you know what I dont like, is how they take injuries and implement them into just the game.

Like NHL 11 has been ruined for me since Crosby and Malk were taken out of the game. Playing a regular game online against someone isnt a "real" season. If they wanted to make it so that if you go to have a season within the game, then maybe take the injured players out.

But even then, thats the point of a video game!! Lol youre supposed to have your own season and hey if your main man goes down he goes down, but since when do they just pull players from games just because they arent playing in rl life?

I dont like that, not one bit. Its just sucked playing NHL 11 for months now since basically Malk and Crosby are the majorly fun reasons to use the Pens in the game. Just dont like that one bit.

That does sound like it would be frustrating. Does it not let you play a game online using customized teams or anything like that?

Well what i can do is i think in a season, like offline season, malkin and crosby are scratched and you can sub them in. Which is good at least. But that makes sense to me.

Online, there is no way to sub them in. They are just simply off the roster.

BUT..i havent played a short bit so maybe they did a roster update and put them back in, but for months though since both guys got injured they been pulled from the online portion of the game.

And like i said what makes no sense is that the online games are just single games by themselves, they arent associated with the real life season...its just an odd choice, and it really bugs me.

Play ranked games with your "be a pro" character, and you wouldn't have this problem

Now that the season is over, they will remove injuries from the updated rosters. You will be playing online with Sid and Geno soon.

The gameplay of 11 was awesome. I couldn't stand the presentation though. I like seeing replays are each stoppage of what just happened. They did that all the time in 09 and never in 11. I went back to 09 for that.

I skipped out on 11. I will definitely be getting 12. I just wish they still made it for PC.

I have to agree...that is garbage. I think that is absolutely a useless feature. Why would you take players from a roster just because they aren't playing in rl?

When I play games, no matter the genre, I do it because it isnt real. The fantasy aspect of having a God like team to smash your opponents by 10 goals appeals to me. Taking major star power of the roster should be a feature that can at least be disabled.
