Ok, Tom you inspired me to write this! Please...give me a Civ 101 class here that is to the point and basic to follow because i want to get into this series so bad, i own some of them on steam and would love to really utilize them.

As I mentioned in another thread, go try out Civilization Revolution. It's a simplified version of Civ and is much easier to pick up and learn.

Thanks Manny, i actually seen that before but it still makes my head explode ;D i need like someone to just break it down so i know exactly what im striving to do in the game. Ill look at that some more though, i just work better when someone says heres the gist, and then when i know the main gist when i read i sort of digest it alot easier. And Delt, i actually have Civ Rev on 360 too

Sorry, just saw this now man. This guy has the right idea. I suggest first playing the tutorial and playing on the easiest difficulty and then take it from there. Civ Rev is Civ uber light version but if you have that, that might be a good place to start. There is a lot to grasp but the tutorial paints a really good picture of what to do (I'm talking about Civ IV) and then when it gets too easy, just ramp up the difficulty. I have had Civ V for a long time and haven't really dived into it. I'm ashamed too bc Civ IV is like my fav game ever. So I think I will do that now...

I was going to suggest what Tomtim did. Start with the tutorial on and on the easiest level because the AI is not as good so even if you mess up a little it won't kill you right off the bat.
Also I have Civ V as well and I have been thinking lately that I need to get back into this game. I love me some Civ.
