The libraries for the PS3 and 360 are so similar now that there really isn't any big difference between the two save for a) XBL beats PSN and b) Sony's hardware is better quality/more reliable. Both libraries are flooded with generic (yeah, that's what I said) FPS's but that's what the American market is about right now. Honestly, I wonder how many of these guys/gals playing COD and games like it actually grew up on Mario, Sonic and Link. I think it's more likely mostly younger gamers who grew up on PS1 and later. There are so many gems in the Wii library and it's an undeniable fact that the Wii whoops both MS and Sony on platformers. I can only hope that Nintendo doesn't try and clone the other 2 with Project Cafe because twins are enough, we don't need triplets! I edited to what I agree with. I don't like platformers, though, which is why the Wii having the best platformers really has as no impact on how I feel about the system. But I also completely agree that we don't need three of the same system, either!

As far as the Wii library bashing goes, I currently own a PS3 and a Wii and am a former 360 owner. This is true. FPSs are definitely becoming quite a bore. Something that I'm hoping BattleField 3 doesn't fall into because I definitely enjoyed BF2 and BF:BC2 a lot more than CoD. And the libraries are similar but just like people like to bring up exclusives and First-Party games when the Wii is mentioned. Both have strong (I personally think are stronger) lineups themselves. I once enjoyed CoD and I grew up with an Atari 2600 and NES at the same time. That's where I started. I don't hate Nintendo and I'm glad they're still around, I just think they blessed and cursed themselves by being too open to the casual market. It kept the Wii from truly shining because a lot of the public did not go beyond Wii Sports and Mario. 3rd Party support just couldn't thrive on this system because of this. Platformers are definitely very well done on the Wii, but just like Phoenix, I don't play them as much anymore. I don't want them to clone the other two major consoles either, but I think that Nintendo could create some awesome games by at least giving themselves some more powerful hardware. This doesn't just mean prettier graphics. It means better AI, better physics, etc. I know that Nintendo can work with little, now I want to see what they can do when they have a lot of power. This is Nintendo, they shouldn't artificially limit themselves just because they can. They should go out there and completely destroy Sony and MS on their playing field. That's just my opinion.
