 It just fails. Horriblly. I was over my neighbor's house playing it last night and oh my god, me and him looked at each other and said,"Sell it on Amazon. This is too bad." You can tell that it is rushed and that its not up to its full poltiental. The game is so linear and scripted its pathetic. Remember in 3D how they're were multiple paths to get secret stuff, yeah, thats not the case here, Your path is only one way. -  Why does it suck so bad?

Too bad they couldn't have delayed it a few times! Haha, wow ;D It's a shame to hear the game hasn't turned out to be what some where expecting. Some folks on here gave their impressions of the demo awhile back and it certainly sounds like you'll either completely hate it or get enjoyment out of it. Regardless, for me it's still one of those games that you need to at least try out. No one thought this game was ever going to see the light of day for the longest time, so I need to experience it good or bad. |

I played the demo and enjoyed it. Not sure if mine is in the mail yet, because I got the Balls of Steel Collection.
I'm beside myself from seeing this, but I'm still gonna try it because I made a promise that I said I'd get this.

every seeing the score on COUGHignCOUGH, i took my Duke preorder and put it towards Halo 4. see how that goes.

Poor Duke. I have the demo but have yet to try it.
Also when I read about only two weapons at a time I just dipped my head in shame.

The demo was pretty awful. I like Gearbox (Borderlands rocked!) but their name and reputation alone weren't enough to save this game. I hope that at least some of you guys who've waited for this game for so long got some enjoyment out of it.  |

I was also surprised that it is getting crapped on as much as it is. I figured if anything it was going to get mediocre reviews but people are just pounding this game.

I haven't played the full game or the demo, but I beat Duke Nukem 3D a month or two ago. I hope I can get at least some enjoyment out of it when I finally get around to playing it.

I actually liked the demo. The one-liners and the difficulty kept me going.
I'm gonna have to get down there and get my game tomorrow, because I'm hearing some folks love this game, while others don't.

I'm gonna have to get down there and get my game tomorrow, because I'm hearing some folks love this game, while others don't. It's a hit or miss, really. There's some real major issues with the single player campaign, I haven't tried multiplayer so I cannot judge it, but in the case of campaign: quick time events (IE, tap this button over and over to open this door) EVERYWHERE, loads of them. The 'puzzles' in it are carbon copies of half-life 2 physics based puzzles. Of course there's the hold only 2 weapons and regenerating health, depending on your tastes those can be good or bad. The one-liners and mockery of other games/movies, fun mini games and such are definitely Duke style. I had fun with the campaign but in more ways than not it just doesn't feel like a Duke game. |

I had cancelled my steam pre-order of this and DUngeon Siege 3.
I might pick it up when it drops to $5, but I doubt it. If its boring as I hear, I wont have any desire to ever play.

It's been in the works so long that it's going to be held to higher standards than it probably normally would.
I've never played DN so I'm not going to bother.
But it does sound like people who liked the old Duke Nukem games should try out Bulletstorm.
