Although to be fair, the Wii is also five years old this year, so it's not as new tech as the 3DS. ;D

If the rumors about Project Cafe are true, I wonder why they wouldn't go any lower? Obviously they want to boost sales, and I just don't see why it's so terrible to drop $50 instead of $30, considering I'm sure $170 seems to look more menacing a price than $150 to consumers.

If I were crazy, I'd buy another Wii to keep upstairs, and use that as my "party/casual gaming" Wii. Y'know, that'd be the Wii that was dedicated to stuff like Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Guitar Hero, etc. Stuff that's fun to play in groups (or games that need a lot of room - my living room is more open than my basement). I'd probably even load up Netflix on that one, so it would double as a movie machine.
Then the Wii in the basement could be my "serious" gaming Wii - dedicated to my (eventual) playing of Metroid Prime 3, Silent Hill, MadWorld, Mario Galaxy, etc.
But I'm not that crazy. :-p
