So for my game-related birthday presents so far I've received:
L.A. Noire - Played through a half-dozen cases so far. I'm really impressed with the technical competence of the game and the unique design. I think I'm enjoying it, but I'm not sure.
I think this is one that I'll want to do a case here and there, over time, but I'm probably not going to want to sit down for a marathon play-session.
Portal 2 - Wow, such an awesome game so far. I intended to play through the intro and then try out Fable III last night, but I just couldn't put the game down. Played from 9:30 until midnight and loved every second of it. Fantastic sense of humour coupled with a way of making you feel really clever. Just one more level. Just one more level. Thought I would be underwhelmed having just recently replayed the original, but somehow they've made it feel all fresh and exciting again. Kudos.
Fable III - Got it installed on the 360 while playing Portal 2 on the PS3 last night, but didn't actually jump in and play any yet. Loved the first two Fables, but have set my expectations reasonably low for this one given much of the negative comments I've read from people who loved the first two Fables.
