Another mostly weak day of deals. FarCry 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 for $4.99/each is hot, but I own both those games for 360.

Gothic 4 and Prototype both look appealing. I hope the next 4 days of sales aren't so lackluster as these last 2-3.

First few days I bought way too much but now 2 days in a row of nothing. Considered GTA 4 but I have for PS3 and I didn't play it that long. Got Far Cry. Prototype is solid but I have on PS3.
Will be checking into Gothic, but probably not. Already have Torchlight for my PC RPG fix for the moment.

Think I'll do Arkham Asylum today. I own it and beat it for PS3, but it'd be nice to have the GotY version for PC with the extras and it looking better.
Plus, I know I'll want to play it again!
Also gonna get Killing Floor for LAN parties.

I didn't buy anything yesterday.
However today is pretty sweet! Fallout 3 GotY is mine! Already have the physical copy on PC, but it's not GotY and I've wanted it on Steam for quite some time anyway!
Amnesia looks interesting. Anyone got thoughts on that?

I'm debating amnesia also. Just like I "debated" l4d2 where it now sits in my steam library.
If you havent played The Last Remnant, I'd recommend that one entirely. The battle system was fun and it looked nice graphically. Story was a bit iffy but oh well =P

I'll pass on TLR. Heard too much bad about it. And I've pretty much lost faith in Square.
And L4D2 was awesome. I still need to finish the campaigns.

I can understand the loss of faith in square, but just giving my 2cents.
I don't think it was bad at all. There is actually quite an offset in the reviews from IGN etc and people who actually played it.
Metacritic has a score of 66 while user score is 8.6.
Only thing iffy is the story but the combat was enjoyable since it actually required some planning rather than x, x, x, x. Some fights were pretty darn tough but again I personally find that enjoyable.
It's not worth $60 by any stretch but you'd get your money's worth for $10 and then some.

Now that it's under $2, it's finally time for me to jump in. EDIT: Nothing for me today. I've heard good things about Amnesia, but I'm not interested in paying $5 for it. |
