I don't think the Mav's have enough to throw at the Heat. We'll see though, that's why they play the game.

^^ It will be a good series but with the Heat having home court and Lebron closing games the way he is it looks like those 3 players are going to have the last laugh at the end of the season.
Lebron is going to shut a lot of people if they win up that’s for sure.

I have to say I became very impressed with their ability to assimilate tactics. The Bulls played some crazy physical and emotional defense in the first game. The Heat just took that and ran with it, and beat them with it. Combined with the factors you mentioned, I don't think the Mavs have it. They'll have to rely too much on Dirk, and we all saw how the Bulls one-man show worked out. As far as him shutting people up? Well, some sure, but not all. Because...

;D
Dirk is still going to cause issues but overall I keep telling people it is going to be very difficult to beat the Heat's main 3 in a best of seven series...
Sure you can sneak in a few wins but at the end of the day greatness always rises to the top.
A lot of people hate Lebron (I am not a big fan) but if he wins the title this year that will surely put him on a list that is highly respected. The guy is a freak of nature and is actually getting better which is scary.

Mavs just whipped on the Heat. ;D ;D I'm a Spurs fan, but I gotta say, glad to see LeBron and Co. go down.

I can't tell you how happy I am that the Mavs won. It is funny bc I never really wanted to see Lebron fail but they way he went about his free agency last year and "The Decision" just really rubbed me the wrong way. The joke in our house now is whenever someone is going to do something we say "I am taking my talents to ________". Also I think Chris Bosh is one of the most over rated players out there. Wade is a beast though. That guy is so good and so money. But I was glad for Dirk and I am a big Carlisle fan and Cuban for that matter. I wish he owned all my teams.

I totally agree. I liked Lebron before the decision. If you do something crazy like that you have to stay in Cleveland. No one would have cared then. He shat all over his home town and I can't respect that.
I also agree that Bosh is overrated and Wade is beast.
It was great to see them lose. It was a mini-christmas.

Lebron got out-played.
He's going to have to learn how to compete on a level where people know how to dig deep down for something that isn't normally there. He's so used to winning on pure talent, that when players with half his skill play as well as he does he goes "Huh-wha?" and breaks down.
Even with his learning curve, they'll probably be favorites next season. I think if he learns to dig down and find that emotion they'll be the best. But, like I said, it's why they play the game.
I remember Jordan once said something along the lines of: Skill and coaching don't matter, if the guy doesn't have the heart to compete and the will to win, he'll lose.

The thing I don't get about Lebron is that when he is playing bad in big spots he really does look disinterested. Against the Celtics last year was the first I saw this from him and I noticed it against the Mavs too. I don't get it. He is so good and talented. I have never seen that from a player where they do look that disinterested. It is almost like they are making him work too hard to play well so instead he shuts down.
Also to your point Obiwan I totally agree. If you are going to pull that "Decision" garbage you needed to go back to Cleveland. That was a total shitty thing he did to the Cavs. I don't buy that charity thing either. Please you make enough money just donate money to charity and make your decision the right way.

I will say I am shocked Lebron played the way he did. I mean for a guy that has been amazing for his 7 or so year career for him to literally choke in the moment and miss shots so BADLY was a sight to behold.
I lost a lot of respect for his game after the finals. Wade is the best player on the team and I also agree Bosh is a bit overrated but he has a lot of skill.
It was Dirks year and I am very happy that they won overall.
That being said....I am almost banking on the Heat winning it next year. Quote me on that and trust me…I am not a big fan of the heat. I would like to see the Lakers rebound and see Kobe get his 6th ring but he is getting up there in age now. They will need to add some very talented youth to their club especially in the point guard department.

I believe that's a result of his confidence. In his mind, went the going get's tough, you get disinterested. I'd guess he's trying to flash the air of "Meh, I could have this if..." or "I don't even care, I'm worth more than this anyway". Truly unfortunate. That being said....I am almost banking on the Heat winning it next year. Quote me on that and trust me…I am not a big fan of the heat. I'm wondering what effect (if any) the new CBA (if there is one) will have on them.
